We’re recruiting for online-based Volunteer to help design a refugee leadership training programme

We are looking for an online-based volunteer who would like to participate in an exciting endeavour that we have recently embarked on. The volunteer will contribute to the design of a leadership programme for young refugee people in the Imvepi refugee settlement, Uganda.

We are looking for an online-based volunteer who would like to participate in an exciting endeavour that we have recently embarked on. The volunteer will contribute to the design of a leadership programme for young refugee people in the Imvepi refugee settlement, Uganda. The volunteer´s main involvement will be in applying his/her own expertise to create a comprehensive curriculum for a programme that focuses on enhancing natural leadership aptitude of refugee youth through informal educational activities promoting peace building and gender equality. Further, the volunteer will conduct online research and coordinate the written content and overall layout of the programme. While contributing with her/his own knowledge and experience, the volunteer will closely cooperate with and be supported by our dedicated team.
We would love to hear from you if you
  • are passionate about and have experience in designing and implementing  comprehensive youth programmes through various channels such as sports, drama or storytelling
  • have expertise in youth work and/or peace building methodology and pedagogy in refugee/conflict context
  • are proficient in both spoken and written English
  • have excellent writing and analytical skills
  • are a team player
  • are creative and happy to contribute with your ideas
  • are available to contribute at least 10 hours per week (flexible timetable) during a minimum of 3 months
