We are extremely grateful to our partners GCSEPod for raising funds to support Xavier Projects GCSE students through their schools network. We currently have 13 students, all refugees over the age of 17 who have never had the chance to attend secondary school, working towards their iGCSE exams in partnership with Cambridge International Assessment. The iGCSE is an internationally recognised qualification that is respected by employers and universities worldwide. Attaining this qualification can help students to achieve their employment or higher education goals.
With this donation we can improve the learning environment for our students, providing them with a safe place in which to study and provide better connectivity and hardware. These resources will enable the students to take more advantage of the online learning resources that GCSEPod has kindly made available to them. GCSEPod provides interactive, informative and entertaining videos which help students work towards achieving a variety of different qualifications. The software and resources are a proven way of educating and are invaluable to our students who can study independently and flexibly for their examinations.
Through this bold pilot, which GCSEpod has supported in various ways, we are hoping that these students will obtain internationally recognised qualifications and skills that will enable them to reach their potential.
